About the artist Roy Davenport
A lifelong lover of art, Roy’s early plans were to pursue a career as a commercial artist. To that end he applied to, and was accepted to Ringling School of Art in Florida. However Life got in the way and another career path and a family caused his art to get put on hold until 2014. Now, he paints almost daily and finds it a great release from the normal pressures of life. Now retired and living near his hometown of Greenville, SC he loves sharing his art with family and friends and some of his original paintings can be found on display in the GVL Art Gallery at 14 S. Main Street in Greenville and in the Simpsonville Fine Art Gallery on Curtis Street in Simpsonville SC.
